The Best Holiday Gift You Can Give

Written by Dr. Kellyann Petrucci

Every holiday season has its trends. In past decades, we all went gaga over Teddy Ruxpin, Tickle Me Elmo, and Star Wars toys. This year, it’s singing goats, the Barbie Saddle ‘N’ Ride Horse, and—well, okay, Star Wars toys again!

But while trends come and go (and sometimes come back), one thing stays the same: the warm, fuzzy feeling we get from sharing the holidays with the people we love. Sure, we remember all the stuff we got over the years—but the memories that truly make the holidays special are all about friends and family.

My favorite memory, for instance, is of our family’s annual talent show. We’d all stand in front of the room and strut our stuff—and of course, we thought every performance was Oscar-worthy. Looking back on it, I have no idea how the grown-ups managed to look so entertained. (Maybe those glasses of holiday bubbly helped.)

I’m sure you too have fond memories of people who’ve made your own holidays happy over the years. So this year, pause for a moment between wrapping presents and stuffing stockings, and think about these people. If you can, say a special “thank you” to them—whether it’s calling them on the phone or sending them an email telling them how grateful you are to them. I promise that they’ll treasure your words more than they’ll value anything they unwrap on Christmas day.

And when it comes to expressing gratitude, let me go first: THANK YOU!!! You are, hands down, the most amazing community of friends anyone could have. During this wild and crazy ride of a year, you’ve had my back all the way. I’m so grateful for the kind messages that helped me through rough spots, the funny emails that made me smile, the thoughtful messages that made me think, and all the joyful weight-loss stories that gave me reason to celebrate.

You are awesome—and I am more grateful than I can tell you.  Your support and friendship are the most precious gifts I could receive.

In return, I hope I can offer my support to you in the New Year. If you’re starting your Bone Broth Diet in January, join us on Facebook. There’s strength in numbers, and thousands of people will be there to cheer you on!

Also, if you bought a copy of the book, be sure to participate in our amazing Bone Broth Revolution event in January. My colleagues and I can’t wait to personally guide your transformation—we are super-excited about this event! You can read all about it here.

Here’s to a Merry Christmas—and a slim, healthy, happy New Year!

Blessings always,

drkellyannsign
