Paleo Pudding Sticks (Avoiding Life’s Little Dramas)

Written by Dr. Kellyann Petrucci

Living without sugar is awesome. You feel so amazing, it’s hard to describe. I talk about the ins and outs of sugar here

It’s like living life full out. No pains, no bothersome internal chatter that goes something like this, “Do I look fat in this? How about if I turn this way, then do I look fat?”

You know if you you’re on the other end of this conversation, there’s no upside to any answer. Your only response should be, “You are the most beautiful person I’ve ever seen.” Keep it simple.

So, to avoid adding too much extra drama in my life, I keep the sugar to a minimum. It just seems like in the end, the results from eating sugar requires just toooooo much work.

I love that when a social event or show pops up on my calendar I can throw on a dress and not worry about how I look. You eat right, and these self-image worries just aren’t on your radar anymore. Really, there is nothing special about having these lifestyle principles —  anyone can have them. It’s easy once you know there are sweets and treats you can have that taste every bit as good— if not better — than the modern-day carb bombs. I have had so many patients tell me they don’t miss the other sweets one bit.

Now, when I do want something sweet, I redefine sweets. I eat wholesome, natural sweets that not only provide me with a great sweet taste, but throw some nutrients in my body as well.

These Paleo Pudding Pops are a perfect example of this.

If you are wondering why in the world I put pudding on a pop, know there is a reason.

When my boys were young, if I wanted to make any food more interesting, I stuck it on a stick. You name it. Chicken Lollypops, Veggie Stick People and many more characters were created. They would look at the food and laugh … and then eat it! It was one of the most fun “Mom Bribes” I ever used.

So, to make just plain pudding a little more creative, I stuck it on a stick!

Enjoy this Paleo Pudding on a stick … or in a bowl!

Keep thinking big and living bold!
